How to Read This Table
When I don't know the date when a roster bonus is due I presume it to have been due on March 12, 2013. I presume that the Patriots will pick up the player's 2013 option bonus so I include the option bonus proration in the total cap amount but until March 12 I do not include the option bonus in the Remaining Signing Bonus amount.

Tommy Kelly - ESPNBoston's Field Yates reported on April 9, 2103 that "The full breakdown of the contract is listed below.
Overall terms: Two years, maximum value of $5 million ($1 million in guaranteed money)
Signing bonus: $1 million

2013
Base salary: $950,000
Workout bonus: $50,000
Roster bonus: $31,250 per game that Kelly is active (maximum value of $500,000)
Cap charge: $2 million

2014
Base salary: $1.95 million
Workout bonus: $50,000
Roster bonus: $31,250 per game that Kelly is active (maximum value of $500,000)
Cap charge: $3 million

QUICK-HIT THOUGHTS: Though the deal includes just $1 million in guaranteed money, the maximum value of $5 million is a reflection that the team doesn't view Kelly as a player whose play has dramatically dropped off as he enters his 10th season in 2013. One of the factors that the team likely valued about Kelly is his consistency, as he played and started in every game for Oakland over the last five seasons. If he can stay healthy, his roster bonuses are achievable and would result in up to $1 million in additional money."
November 4, 2013 update Since Tommy Kelly played in only 5 games in 2013, in 2014 his roster bonus amounts will also cover five games.
March 13, 2014 update On March 13 ESPNBoston.Com's Field Yates reported "Patriots defensive tackle Tommy Kelly has restructured the final year of his contract, creating about $800,000 in cap space for the team. Kelly was set to earn $2.5 million in his contract -- $1.95 million in base salary, a $50,000 workout bonus and $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses. As part of the restructured pact, it now breaks down this way:

The deal also includes the following playing-time incentives:

The maximum Kelly can earn in playing-time incentives is $645,000. Thus, the maximum value of the new contract is still $2.5 million.)
